At present, the development of artificial intelligence has entered a new stage, especially driven by new theories and new technologies such as mobile Internet, big data, supercomputing, sensor network, brain science, and the strong demand for economic and social development. The accelerated development of artificial intelligence presents new features such as deep learning, cross-border integration, human-machine collaboration, open swarm intelligence, and autonomous control. In order to further explore the latest achievements of artificial intelligence, CAAI and Baidu will jointly organize a national college artificial intelligence teacher training focusing on deep learning, computer vision, and AI+ quality inspection industry applications. This training is aimed at professional leaders and teachers of relevant colleges and departments across the country, focusing on talent training, discipline construction, curriculum system and curriculum content construction, teaching art, integration of production and education, scientific research and teaching, teaching experience sharing, etc. It is now scheduled to hold teacher training in the form of a combination of online and offline on March 18-20, 2022. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

3. Curriculum Setting
In order to meet the learning needs of teachers at all stages, this training course offers three directions:
Class A: Computer Vision Basic Training Course
Class B: Smart Car Creative Group Competition Training Course
Class C: AI+ Quality Inspection Industry Training Course
4. Training Object
The training object are teachers who are interested in carrying out artificial intelligence education work in colleges and universities, cultivating talents in the field of artificial intelligence, and college teachers who carry out education and teaching activities. Participating students must have:
1. Academic aspects
(1) Understand the basic concepts and basic knowledge of machine learning;
(2) Have a certain Python and programming foundation; have a certain theoretical foundation for machine learning and neural networks;
(3) Basic knowledge of advanced mathematics, linear algebra, probability and statistics;
(4) Computer, software engineering, electronic information, data science, physics-related discipline background.
2. Willingness
(1) Willingness and plans to offer AI deep learning courses and lectures within the next year;
(2) College teachers who are willing to share deep learning, artificial intelligence discipline construction, and teaching experience with their teaching colleagues are preferred.
3. Other requirements
Students participating in this training need to bring their own computers and install the latest version of Chrome/Firefox/Safari browsers, and have access to Win10 Enterprise Edition or Ultimate Edition/Win7/MacOS/Linux and other systems.
Note: Teachers who sign up for the smart car creative group competition training should note that they need to bring their own laptops with a wired network port. Computers without a wired network port can configure the "wired network card-USB converter" by themselves.
5. Training Contents and Gains
This training invites a team of lecturers composed of senior engineers from the Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University and Baidu. The training process focuses on the combination of theory and practice, and in-depth lectures on teaching practice and engineering case applications. During the training, more than ten teaching assistants will assist the whole teaching process, answer questions face-to-face or in the online group, and provide accurate 1-to-1 teaching services and immersed interactive teaching. Teaching experience and methods: seminars and experience sharing on in-depth learning ideas and teaching methods, from input to output, unlocking new ideas for AI teaching in colleges and universities;
Priority support for the Ministry of Education's Industry-University Cooperation and Collaborative Education Project: Teachers participating in the training will receive priority support from the Ministry of Education's Industry-University Cooperation and Collaborative Education Project released by Baidu.
Efficient laboratory environment support: The training platform adopts Baidu's deep learning platform PaddlePaddle and AI Studio training platform, and provides rich industry real data sets and CPU/GPU computing resources to support this training practice, eliminating the complexity of installation and maintenance. It allows students to focus on model training.
Theory + practice + industry expert tutor: featured hot practical cases, face-to-face courses taught by authoritative experts combined with practical operations;
Abundant supporting learning materials: trainees will receive a full set of hardware and software support for in-depth learning courses, including a complete curriculum system, the most professional teaching materials, a full set of PPT courseware, supporting experimental cases, practice platforms and other in-depth learning courses suit.

6. Training certificate
Teachers who participated in this training will be issued a certificate of completion of the "National College Artificial Intelligence Teacher Training Class" after passing the assessment.
7. Training costs
There is no registration fee for this training class (the training fee is 8999 yuan, borne by Baidu), and the round-trip transportation and room and board expenses are at participants’ own expense.
