On September 24, 2021, the China International Forum on Intelligent & Connected Technologies (CIIC) held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, the birthplace of the Spirit of the Red Ship, which was co-sponsored by the China Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences China Science Center (IEAS-China) and the Jiaxing Municipal People's Government of the Communist Party of China. Honorary Chairman of CAAI, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Honorary Chairman of the General Assembly, Academician Li Deyi, Executive Vice Chairman of the Chinese Science Center of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, Zhang Jing'an, Vice Chairman of jiaxing Municipal Committee, Party Secretary of Jiaxing Nanhu University, Director of Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee Sheng Fuxiang, Director of the CAAI Intelligent Driving Committee and Chairman of the General Assembly Professor Deng Weiwen as the opening guests.

Focusing on the theme of “Addressing the challenges of safety and reliability and promoting the development of the smart network industry”, the conference invited authoritative experts and well-known scholars from the field of intelligent driving in automobiles at home and abroad to focus on the key technologies and major challenges facing the smart network technology and industry, especially the safety and reliability challenges faced by the industrialization of the smart network, as well as the corresponding test verification and evaluation technology, and made wonderful sharing and in-depth exchanges to promote the integration of industry and technology exchanges, innovation and entrepreneurship. We will jointly promote the sustained and healthy development of the smart network automobile industry.

The Ministry of Public Security Institute of Traffic Science, the Ministry of Communications Road Academy Intelligent Transportation Research Center, China Software Evaluation Center, China Information and Communication Research Institute, China Automobile Academy, China Automotive Technology Research Center, Chongqing Automobile Inspection Institute and other relevant national ministries attended the conference; Lixiang Automobile, Hozon Auto and other main representatives, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Jilin University, Nanjing University and other universities and research institutes representatives, SAIC, Tencent Cloud, Horizon, Junsheng Electronics and other well-known business representatives, as well as many industry well-known experts and scholars, in total more than 110 people, about 660,000 online participants to discuss simulation testing and verification evaluation technology, standards and regulations, to help the safety and healthy development of the intelligent network.

At present, intelligent network car needs to travel tens of billions of miles to verify its reliability and safety, and traditional road and site test cycle is long, high cost, monotonous scene, safety cannot be guaranteed, relying on traditional site testing is no longer possible to verify the reliability of self-driving vehicles, so its industrialization is facing great challenges in urgent need of simulation test verification methods and tools. In response to the above-mentioned problems, the relevant ministries and a number of intelligent network of the automotive industry's national independent brand representative manufacturers, including the ICT, Chongqing Automobile Inspection Institute, Lixiang Automobile, Horizon, Tencent and PanoSim, etc., shared their own thinking for the safety of the smart network car landing issues and conducted a heated discussion. The smooth convening of this conference has promoted the development and application of test verification and evaluation technology, promoted the rapid landing of industry standards and regulations, promoted the coordinated development and common innovation of all sectors of the intelligent network automobile industry and research, and opened a new chapter for the safe landing and healthy development of China's intelligent network automobile.
