On July 22,2021 China “AI +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship competition -- Wisdom Medical Innovation competition was held in Liangzhu Life Science and Technology Town, Hangzhou. The competition is jointly organised by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and the Hangzhou Science and Technology Bureau, and hosted by the Yuhang District Science and Technology Bureau, Liangzhu New Town Management Committee and Liangzhu Culture Life Technology Town. The competition focuses on the direction of artificial intelligence and biomedicine, through the sharing of innovative achievements, case analysis and the collision of viewpoints, to build an industrial capital “Circle of friends” for high-quality projects, and to build a capital “Exchange Bank” for a healthy life economy.

“The deep integration of artificial intelligence and the medical industry will not only bring about great changes in the fields of telemedicine, digital medicine, intelligent detection and auxiliary diagnosis, improve the accuracy of medical diagnosis and treatment, but also promote the accumulation of data and experience in the medical field, promote the development of artificial intelligence and further breakthroughs in technology, and realize a virtuous circle of integrated development of industry, university, research and use. In the integrated development of intelligent scientific research and medical technology, scientific and medical personnel as well as the vast number of patients will all benefit together,” said Hsu Feng, deputy secretary-general of CAAI and associate professor of the School of software at Tsinghua University, the competition is of great significance to further optimize the new Crown Epidemic Prevention and control program, enhance the ability of public health safety, and promote the development of China’s medical and health industry in the direction of network, digital, intelligent.

It is worth mentioning that the contest projects include AI technology in the medical industry popular scene, including rehabilitation, pharmaceutical, imaging, medical information, medical devices, robotics, cancer screening and other fields. After a fierce competition, Shenzhen Hanwei Intelligent Medical Technology Co. , Ltd. finally won the first prize for its “Intelligent Overall Breast Cancer Screening Solution” project, Shanghai Aijin Artificial Intelligence Technology Co. , Ltd. , Jiaxing Zhitong Technology Co. , Ltd. was awarded the second prize, Hangzhou ECRFPlus Technology Co. , Ltd. , Hangzhou Huoshi Digital Technology Co. , Ltd. , Shanghai Pailong Biotechnology Co. , Ltd. .

As the venue of the competition, the Liangzhu Life Science and Technology town is one of the main carriers of the “One core, four gardens and many points” layout of the Hangzhou biomedical industry, relying on the advantages of location and the support of the platform of provincial-level characteristic towns, the town currently has two third-class hospitals under construction, gathered more than 100 large health enterprises, in innovative drug research and development, medical equipment, precision diagnosis and treatment, and other areas on the fast track of development. “New Liangzhu culture city will build on the historical accumulation of the ‘Double Heritage’ culture to turn Liangzhu culture life science and technology town into a highland for the transformation of Life Science and technology achievements, a supporting platform for high-end medical industry, and a model town for digital health innovation,” said Shen Hegang, deputy director of the new Liangzhu Culture City Management Commission.
