Academician Dai Qionghai, Chairman of CAAI, Leading the Teachers and Students of the Imaging and Intelligence Technology Lab of Tsinghua University, Carries Out Scientific Research

During a recent visit to Tsinghua University, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that all youths need to take the responsibility of fulfilling the mission of national rejuvenation. They should strengthen innovation and deeply understand the national needs and follow the trend of the times. And they should dare to be the first, dare to make breakthroughs aiming to contribute to our country with their wisdom and serve the society with their pioneering spirit. In the imaging and intelligence technology lab of Tsinghua University ever visited by President Xi, students still raced against time to research the key technology of brain science and artificial intelligence during the International Labor Day and Chinese Youth Day.

The imaging and intelligence technology lab of Tsinghua University, founded in 2001, is led by academician Dai Qionghai, director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. It mainly researches the basic theory and key technology of international cut-edge cross-disciplines like computational cameras, brain science and artificial intelligence.   

A PhD. Student of class of 2018, studying in the Department of automation of Tsinghua University, Lu Zhi, as a member of this lab said, “general secretary Xi Jinping remarked that as a youth, we need to be determined, be talent and responsible”, which I am studying now is about the field of life and health, which is the accumulation of our original efforts. In the future, we keep down-to-earth and promote the development in the fields of brain science, brain disease and tumor treatment related to people’s life and health by our original research methods.

“China will be a promising country, as long as the young generation are ambitious, talented and responsible.” Which is President Xi Jinping’s deep expectation to the youth. Looking back to the growing days, its unforgettable for many youths about Xi’s remarks and the warmth and inspirations when receiving the reply. The inculcation will be taken as the spiritual guidance for the youth in the new era to inspire them to move forward together with our country.
