Seminar on Biological Big Data Intelligent Information Held in Beijing

The special seminar on Biological Big Data Intelligent Information was held at Tsinghua University on January 6th, 2021. It was jointly sponsored by the CAAI and Tsinghua University, and was organized by the CAAI Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee. This seminar is focused on the interpretability of deep learning models for biomedical big data. Professor Xiaowo WANG from Tsinghua University and Professor Shihua ZHANG from the Institute of Mathematics and System Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered keynote reports on "Understanding DNA Regulatory Grammar from Neural Networks" and "Mathematical Understanding of Deep Learning" respectively. After that, participants had discussions on studies of deep network structure learning strategies, network node visualization analysis, and identification of complex gene regulation patterns.

The "Biology and Intelligence" Youth PI Interdisciplinary Seminar was co-sponsored by Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units engaged in the field of biology and intelligence. Focusing on key issues in the field of biology and intelligence, it had discussions on the latest academic progress and scientific research trends, striving to promote academic exchanges and communication among relevant interdisciplinary subjects.
