The nomination of candidates for 2020 as a member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) was launched today, according to the "Rules for the Selection and Evaluation of Members of the CAAI".

We hereby inform you of the requirements and arrangements for the nomination of candidates for CAAI fellowship as follows:

I. Qualifications

Candidates for CAAI fellowship must meet the following conditions at the same time:

(I) Making outstanding achievements and innovative contributions to scientific research and technological applications in the field of artificial intelligence;

(II) Candidates must have scientific research results playing a leading role in AI related industries, or papers published in high-level journals or conferences with a broad academic impact internationally;

(III) In principle, candidates must be senior members with more than 5 years of membership, caring and supporting the work of the CAAI and making outstanding contributions to the association.

II. Nomination

(I) The nomination system is adopted in the selection. Candidates for CAAI fellowship must be nominated by members of the CAAI other than the nominees.

Each candidate for the CAAI fellowship must be nominated by two different CAAI members.

(II) Each CAAI member may nominate no more than two candidates for fellowship each year.

III. Submission of materials

The nominees are requested to fill out the "Nomination Form for Fellow Candidates of the CAAI" and sign it, and send it to the selection office by July 31, 2020. Email: zhb@caai.cn.

IV. Qualification of nominee candidates and review of nomination procedures

The office of the Fellowship Evaluation Committee reviews the qualifications and nomination procedures of the nominee. If the requirements are met, the nominee is confirmed as a formal candidate, and the his or her materials are submitted to the Fellowship Evaluation Committee based on "Selection and Evaluation Work Methods of the CAAI Members” to make further evaluation.

The names of selected candidates will be posted on the CAAI website for 2 weeks. If no objection is raised, they will be officially elected as members of the CAAI.
