Professor Licheng JIAO is Director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Xidian University, and he is also the 6th/7th vice president of CAAI.

Professor Licheng JIAO is director of the key laboratory of intelligent perception and image understanding of the Ministry of Education, director of the international joint research center of intelligent perception and computing, director of the International Cooperative Joint Laboratory of intelligent perception and computing, etc. , he also works as member of Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Education, expert of artificial intelligence science and Technology Innovation Group of Ministry of Education, chairman of IET Xi'an Branch, and chief expert of innovation team of Ministry of Education. He is a member of the first batch of selected national "millions" talent project level one and two and a National Model Teacher. He has won more than 10 science and technology awards, including the second-class National Natural Science Award and the first-class provincial and ministerial awards. Besides, he also won five national awards for outstanding science and technology books and three national first-class 100 outstanding books awards.

Visual perception and brain cognition (sparsity, learning, selectivity and directionality) provide a way to realize high-efficient and accurate perception and interpretation of remote sensing images. Based on the mechanism of biological visual cognition and perception, the acquisition, interpretation and application of high-resolution remote sensing information are studied in this course.
