The recommendation of outstanding doctoral dissertations was launched in 2017. The award is set up in China to promote scientific and technological progress in the field of artificial intelligence, to encourage innovative research, to encourage young talents, and doctoral candidates in China who have made outstanding achievements. Relevant matters are listed below:

1.Requirements for submission:1) Dissertations in the field of artificial intelligence after dissertation defense from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016 in China.

2. All submissions should be recommended by universities (departments) or research institutes with computer science and technology, software engineering, control science and engineering and other related majors. No more than three dissertations   of submission for each unit. Dissertations that have already been evaluated are not acceptable.

2. Submission Paper Work:

1) One printed paper;

2) One electronic version;

3) CAAI Recommendation Form for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations (ONLY valid with approval by the degree-defending unit, including a signature of the unit chief and an official seal;

4）The papers recommended by the Professional Committee are only valid with a recommendation form signed by the chairman of the committee.

5) Opinions from the Defense Committee;

6) Other relevant supporting paper works.

3.All paper work should be submitted to the CAAI before 17:00， March 27.

 4. Schedule:

1) Submission: from now on until March 27, 2017;

2) Format and qualification review:  March 28- April 3, 2017;

3) Preliminary review: From April 4 to May 1, 2017, preliminary evaluation by peer review. After this phase, no more than 20 doctoral dissertations can be submitted to the next stage.

4) Notice on Preliminary review: May 2 - May 15, 2017;

5) Final Review: From May 16 to May 31, 2017, the CAAI Final Evaluation Committee conducted a final review, and judged no more than 10 winners.

6) Notice on final results: June 1 - June 15, 2017.
