According to the Regulation of the Method for the Formation and Evaluation of Members of the CAAI, the nomination of candidates for membership of the CAAI will start on the same day in 2019. The following are the requirements and arrangements for the nomination of candidates for membership of the Association:

I. Qualification of candidates for membership

The candidates must satisfy the following conditions at the same time:

1. Making outstanding achievements and innovative contributions in scientific research and technology application in the field of artificial intelligence;

2. Scientific research results play a leading role in AI-related industries, or papers published in high-level journals or conferences have a wide academic impact in the world.

3. In principle, it has more than 5 years of senior membership age. It cares about and supports the work of the Society and makes outstanding contributions to the construction of the Society.

Nominations of candidates for membership

1. The nomination system is adopted for the selection of members, and the candidate for members must be nominated by members of the CAAI other than the nominees. Each member candidate must be nominated by two nominees.

2. Each nominee shall nominate no more than two candidates for membership each year.

3. Material submission

Please fill in and sign the nomination form for candidates of the CAAI, and send it to the selection office by August 5, 2019, by email: msc@caai.cn.

IV. Audit of the Qualification and Nomination Procedure of Membership Candidates

The Office of the councillor evaluation committee examines the qualifications and nomination procedures of the nominees. If they meet the requirements, the nomination will be established and the nominees will be identified as formal candidates. The materials will be submitted to the Council Evaluation Committee for selection according to the "Procedures for the Generation and Evaluation of Members of the CAAI". Candidates selected for membership will be posted on the Society's website for two weeks; if there is no objection, they will be officially elected as members of the CAAI.
