On January 12th, as the first important academic and industrial event in Nanjing after the New Year's Day, the 2019 Nanjing Academician's Lecture Hall and the Yangtze River Delta Artificial Intelligence Industry Forum will be held in Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-Tech Island.

This is also an important open-year event to implement the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan", deepen the construction of innovative city of Nanjing, raising the priority of innovation, accelerate the construction of Jianye modern international city center with high standards, and create the global influential model district for AI reseach and application of Eco Hi-Tech Island.

1 Background

A few days ago, the Nanjing Innovation City Construction Promotion Conference was held in the Nanjing Great Hall of the People. At the meeting, the first document of the 2019 Municipal Party Committee, "Several Policy Measures for Deepening the Construction of Innovative Famous Cities and Enhancing the Priority of Innovation" was released. This is the second year in a row, when the New Year’s “First Meeting” and “No. 1 Document are focused on the theme of “Innovative City”.

Advancing "two landings, one integration" (the landing of scientific and technological achievements projects, the landing of new research institutions, and the merging development of college and local area) is an important point for Nanjing to build an innovative city.

In this context, CAAI, assocaiated with the Nanjing Jianye District People's Government, held the 2019 Nanjing Academician's Lecture Hall and the Yangtze River Delta Artificial Intelligence Industry Forum in Singapore Nanjing HI-Tech Island. It aims at taking the advantage of resources and talents of universities and research institutes. gathering global innovation resources, promoting the incubation and transformation of scientific and technological innovation results, serving local economic and social construction and development, and jointly creating innovative cities with more innovation, competitiveness and influence.

It is reported that many AI experts and elites from well-known enterprises will take part in the event to jointly explore new ideas for the development of artificial intelligence industry. Participants will conduct multi-layer communications from different fields and perspectives, and comprehensively analyze the development outlook of artificial intelligence industry.

A new generation of artificial intelligence is profoundly changing the social and economic development model.
