Recently，IRSS has announced the results of the 2018 general election (every two years):

Professor Miao Duoqian, Executive Director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence（CAAI）, Chairman of the Special Committee on Particle Computing and Knowledge Discovery, and Professor of Tongji University, was elected as the Vice Chairman of IRSS. Professor Li Tianrui, standing member of the Steering Committee and Southwest Jiaotong University, was elected as the Steering Committee Chairman of IRSS Steering Committee.

In the last IRSS commission, professor Yao Yiyu (Chinese scholar) of University of Regina was elected as IRSS director. Wang Guoyin, the Vice Director of CAAI was elected as the Chairman of IRSS Steering Committee. And professor Miao Duoqian of Tongji University was elected as the Chairman of IRSS Advisory Board. Also, several scholars were elected as IRSS fellow and senior members.

International Rough Set Society

The International Rough Set Society (IRSS) is a non-profit International academic organization that aims to provide academic communication on Rough Set theory, particle computing theory and its application. It is composed of scientists and technologists from all over the world who are engaged in the research of rough sets, particle computing and related fields. Since the establishment of the Rough Set and Soft Computing Committee of CAAI (In 2018, renamed as Particle Computing and Knowledge Discovery Committee) in 2003, and through the branch members’ long-term efforts, China has made important achievements in scientific research, academic communication and international cooperation in this field, also enjoys important academic status and growing academic influence around the world. In recent years, the academic achievements of Chinese scholars (including overseas Chinese scholars) have been highly recognized in the international academic field, and they have gradually taken important positions in international academic organizations, which shows that China's relevant research has entered the leading position in the international frontier in this field.
