On August 17, 2026, the "CAAI on Campus" special information session at Tsinghua University was successfully held. Chen Wenbai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI); Liu Yanna, Secretary of the Office of Scientific and Technological Exchange and International Cooperation; and Chen Guang, Secretary of the Office of Awards and Achievements, attended the event. Meng Xianfei, Director of the Office of Research Achievement Management at Tsinghua University's Institute of Scientific Research, presided over the session. Faculty and students from various departments at Tsinghua University, including the Department of Electronics, the Department of Automation, the School of Life Sciences, and the Institute of Aeronautical Engine Research, participated in the event.

Meng Xianfei expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence for its long-standing care and support for the university's research efforts. He noted that artificial intelligence is profoundly reshaping the underlying logic of global scientific research and innovation-from basic research to technological breakthroughs and on to industrial implementation, every stage is being accelerated and restructured by AI. In the face of this major transformation, the university is closely aligning with the national "15th Five-Year Plan" strategic deployment, prioritizing artificial intelligence as a key strategic direction. It is continuously strengthening its theoretical foundations, enhancing the supply of core technologies, and expanding cutting-edge application scenarios, with a commitment to securing a leading position in the global competition for intelligent technology. He encouraged the faculty members in attendance to use this briefing as an opportunity to fully leverage Tsinghua's strengths in interdisciplinary collaboration and deep-rooted basic research, and to focus on key areas of artificial intelligence to produce more original and pioneering research outcomes.

Chen Wenbai provided an overview of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, including its history and main areas of operation, and focused on explaining the relevant policies, application requirements, and review process for the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award. This award recognizes outstanding achievements and leading figures who have made significant scientific and technological breakthroughs in China's field of intelligent science and technology, and serves to inspire more researchers to engage in innovation and practice in artificial intelligence. In addition, Chen Wenbai introduced other services of interest to faculty and students, such as the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements, academic grants, and computing power support programs.
