From June 10th to 12th, the Vision and Learning Seminar (VALSE) was successfully held in Wuxi Taihu International Expo Centre. This year’s conference was hosted by CAAI and China Society and Image and Graphics (CSIG); and sponsored by Jiangnan University and the Management Committee of Wuxi National High-tech Industrial Development Zone; and co-hosted by Jiangsu Association of Artificial Intelligence, China Computer Federation (CCF) in Wuxi and CSIG youth working committee. The chairmen of the conference are Academician Wei Chen, Professor Xiaojun Wu and Professor Mingming Cheng; and the Chairmen of the conference procedure committee are Associate Professor Tianyang Xu, Professor Nannan Wang, and Professor Wei Jia.

The number of the VALSE participants this year reached a record high, as evidenced by more than 5500 visitors on the scene. Under the elaborate organization and coordination of the conference committee, the meeting presented various great content, including 3 keynote reports of the conference, 4 plenary talks, 12 annual progress reports (APR), 4 tutorials, and 20 workshops. In addition, 186 papers from top meetings and journals are posted for exchanges. The number of reports this year is more than any years before. Also, over 150 top scholars at home and abroad shared the cutting-edge development of AI, which attracted a number of domestic and foreign young scholars who are outstanding.
