The Summit on Music Intelligence opened in Beijing on October 22. Co-sponsored by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and the Central Conservatory of Music (CCoM), the summit brought together the world's leading experts in music artificial intelligence, academics, influential leaders in related fields, and representatives of music industry-related companies. Here they brainstormed ideas to explore the future world of music. They are determined to promote the development of music artificial intelligence "producing, learning, researching, using", serving Beijing, serving the national strategy, and working with the world in the future.

The opening ceremony and symphony concert of the Summit on Music Intelligence was held in the Opera Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music on the evening of the 22nd. Experts, scholars and forum representatives from relevant fields witnessed this historic moment.

President Yu Feng of the Central Conservatory of Music briefly reviewed the development of music and artificial intelligence, and introduced the development of the Department of Music Artificial Intelligence and Music Information Technology of the Central Conservatory of Music. He looks forward to the development direction of the music artificial intelligence system from three aspects: discipline construction, laboratory construction and team building. Speech by Academician Dai Qionghai, Co-chair of the Summit

In his speech, CAAI President Dai Qionghai said that the intersection of artificial intelligence and music will combine their strengths, produce subversive original results, inject new impetus into the progress of music, bring new perspectives for the development of artificial intelligence, and provide a golden key for human beings to better understand themselves and cross-cultural emotional expression. In June this year, the CAAI Art and Artificial Intelligence Commission was officially established, marking that China's art and artificial intelligence interdisciplinary has entered a new stage of theoretical co-construction, academic resonance, resource sharing, industrial integration.

The opening ceremony of the Beijing Research Institute of Music and Brain was held in the same venue. Professor Qi Feng, President of the Central Conservatory of Music, Professor Dai Qionghai, Chairman of CAAI, Professor Wang Xiaoqin, Director of the Brain and Intelligence Laboratory of Tsinghua University, and Professor Li Xiaobing of the Central Conservatory of Music jointly unveiled the plaque for the laboratory. Professor Li Xiaobing said that the Music and Brain Science Laboratory will conduct research in the following directions in the next few years: 1. The coding mechanism of music in the brain. 2. the neural mechanism of music's emotional perception and musical aesthetics. 3. the neural mechanism of music learning and memory. 4. The application of music therapy in improving sleep and treating insomnia.
