October 16-17, 2021, sponsored by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industry Base Management Committee, CAAI Primary and Secondary School Work Committee and Walnut Education hosted the "CAAI Masters into the Campus and the Artificial Intelligence Programming Course Training for Primary and Secondary School Teachers" successfully held in Xi'an.


Three Brilliant Reports

The two-day " CAAI Masters into the Campus and the Artificial Intelligence Programming Course Training for Primary and Secondary School Teachers" was held in the 2nd floor roadshow hall of the Shenzhou space base 3rd Road 11th Science and Technology Northwest Building, and invited three guests from Tsinghua University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Gao Yunfeng, Professor Wang Shengling of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Beijing Normal University, and Gong Chao, Assistant Director of the Japan Research Center of Tsinghua University, respectively, gave keynote lectures.


Professor Gao Yunfeng of Tsinghua University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics shared a report on topics ranging from Pascal's computer to computer thinking. Professor Gao Yunfeng gave us a vivid account of how artificial intelligence should affect social development under the background of artificial intelligence, the history of artificial intelligence, computational thinking and so on. He believes that although computational thinking is closely related to computer and programming, computer and programming do not represent computational thinking. Computational thinking is a concept but not programming. It is the complementation and fusion of mathematical thinking and engineering thinking, can be used in different fields.


Professor Wang Shengling of the School of Artificial Intelligence at Beijing Normal University shared a report on the theme of "Computational Thinking" in Artificial Intelligence. The report told us about the necessity and current situation of artificial intelligence courses in the information era. Through the typical case of "association of input methods", participants are helped to understand "computational thinking" in artificial intelligence. She advocated changing the current information technology curriculum attaches importance to "technology" contempt for "science" phenomenon, as far as possible to increase the interpretation of the underlying logic of information technology curriculum. As a typical figurative thinking discipline, "computational thinking" of information technology should penetrate into our lives.


Dr. Gong Chao, Assistant Director of the Japan Research Center of Tsinghua University, shared a thematic report entitled: Ideas and Case Sharing for the Construction of Artificial Intelligence Curriculum System in Primary and Secondary Schools. He shared the current state of artificial intelligence and the curriculum system and the exploration practice of primary and secondary schools. He also displayed the future gene tree and artificial intelligence classic algorithms, showing that artificial intelligence cross-fusion more and more deep, forming the artificial intelligence and X scene. This report mainly described the ideas and cases of the construction of artificial intelligence curriculum system in primary and secondary schools, and provides teaching reference for students.


Promote the Development and Popularization of Artificial Intelligence Education in Primary and Secondary Schools

During the course training, the teachers and students of the course carried out various teaching practices, simulated the interdisciplinary workshop of programming literacy, and performed interdisciplinary teaching practice activities based on graphical programming. During this time, the students were very productive and asked questions positively about the courses taught by the teacher.


Senior lecturer Zhang Zhibin introduced the basic teaching of Scratch programming design, the teaching practice of Scratch implementation of the general course of artificial intelligence, and the design and program of Scratch curriculum in the course of Basic Teaching of Artificial Intelligence Programming.


Senior Lecturer Yu Shichao demonstrated the combination of robot physical programming and subject knowledge through 4 cases.


Qiu Dingchen, a senior lecturer in the Primary and Secondary School Working Committee of the CAAI, presented AI and physics, mathematics, and military interdisciplinary AI courses in the course of "Artificial Intelligence General Courses Based on Interdisciplinary Teaching Practice of Graphic Programming".


The trainees are composed of excellent science teachers, computer teachers, information technology teachers and mathematics teachers from all primary and secondary schools in the space base. Two days of intensive training have been fruitful for the participating teachers. Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence will work with teachers to promote the development and popularization of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools in space bases, and contribute to the training of young people in scientific and technological innovation.
