As WU Wenjun AI Science and Technology Award series, the recommendation of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of CAAI is now launched. The award is set up to promote the scientific and technological progress in the field of artificial intelligence in China, encourage innovative research, promote the growth of young talents, and commend the doctoral degree winners in China who have made outstanding achievements. The notice on the recommendation of candidate papers is as follows:

1. Eligibility:

1) The selection scope of this evaluation is the dissertation that passed the defense of doctoral dissertation in artificial intelligence field in China from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019;

2) The selected doctoral dissertation shall be recommended by the College (Department) or research institution with relevant majors such as computer science and technology, software engineering, control science and engineering, and each unit shall recommend no more than 3 dissertations, and the dissertations that have been evaluated shall not be recommended again;

3) Please refer to "Regulations on Selection of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of CAAI " for specific conditions and constraints.

2. Materials:

1) 2 printed papers;

2) 1 electronic paper;

3) One copy of “CAAI Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Recommendation Form” (signed and sealed by the person in charge of the unit when the author defends), one copy of PDF scanning version and one copy of word version, and the electronic version and the written version of the recommendation form shall be consistent;

4) For the papers recommended by the special committee, one paper copy of the recommendation form signed by the director of the special committee and one PDF scanning version shall be submitted;

5) 1 paper version and 1 PDF scanning version of the opinions of the Defense Committee;

6) For confidential recommendation materials, please review in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, and submit the confidentiality review certificate;

7) Other relevant supporting materials.

3. Evaluation

All units are requested to do a good job in organizing and recommending, and submit the paper version of the application materials to the Secretariat of CAAI at 17:00 on June 10, 2020, and send the electronic version to the mailbox of CAAI.

Specific selection schedule:

1) Acceptance: from now to June 10, 2020;

2) Format and qualification review: June 10-20, 2020;

3) Preliminary evaluation: from June 20 to July 5, 2020, peer experts made preliminary evaluation on the application materials, and selected no more than 20 outstanding doctoral dissertation candidates;

4) Preliminary evaluation publicity: July 5-20, 2020;

5) Final evaluation: from July 20 to August 5, 2020, CAAI final evaluation committee will make final evaluation, and no more than 10 winners and no more than 5 nominations will be awarded;

6) Publicity of final evaluation: August 6-20, 2020.
