Notice on Holding the "Ninth Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Awards Ceremony and 2019 China Artificial Intelligence Industry Annual Meeting"

In order to fully implement the innovation-driven development strategy, put the national “New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan” into effect, effectively mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of the vast number of intelligent science and technology workers by selecting and recommending the outstanding intelligent science and technology achievements, and awarded scholars and experts who won scientific and technological awards of the 2019 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science, promoting artificial intelligence technology in various industries, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence(CAAI) decided to hold the Ninth Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Awards Ceremony and the 2019 China Artificial Intelligence Industry Annual Conference in Suzhou from November 29th to December 1st, 2019, through which to energize China's intelligent science and technology innovation and industrialization development level, and accelerate the construction of the world's artificial intelligence innovation center and application highland. The details are hereby notified as follows:

I. Background of the Meeting

The "Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award" was held by the CAAI, national-level association. It was named after scientist Wenjun WU, pioneer in the fields of China's intelligent science and technology, artificial intelligence, and intelligent science research in China, first winner of China’s highest science and technology award, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and honorary chairman of the CAAI. This Science and Technology Award (National Science Awards No. 0218) was supported by society, qualified for nominating and recommending the National Science and Technology Award.  It is known as the "China's highest award for intelligent science and technology.

The 19th China AI Industry's Annual Meeting (CAIIAM 2019) sponsored by the CAAI as the theme supporting activity of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Awards Ceremony, integrates closed-door seminar, honor recognition, high-end forum, product exhibition, report release and project roadshow. It is an annual artificial intelligence landmark event with high authority, large scale, strong brand power and far-reaching influence in the industry, which aims to give full play to the talents and technical advantages of the winning team and project achievements, strengthen the artificial intelligence innovation supply and high-level resource agglomeration, and build a high-level communication platform for the academic, application, capital and industry of artificial intelligence in the frontier cross-cutting field in China, and accelerate the intelligent innovation development and industry empowerment. Elites in this field will gather together to exchange their views. At that time, the organizing committee will invite more than 200 authoritative scholars and top experts to hold 58 keynote reports, 9 peak dialogues, and exchanges on 17 core topics, attracting nearly 2,000 industry peers to share the feast of science and thought. The meeting also focused on knowledge intelligence and its applications, 5G+ smart chips, smart medical, intelligent networked cars, intelligent robots and smart finance, and explored the key core technology routes of artificial intelligence in deep application scenarios, and exchanged views on artificial intelligence.
