The 1st AI Innovation Technology Workshop "Multimodal Cognitive Computing and Brain Computer Intelligence" Will Be Held Online

 

In order to accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, promote young practitioners in the field of artificial intelligence to better understand the discipline innovation in this field, strengthen academic exchanges, broaden their horizons and improve their technical level, the 1st Artificial Intelligence Innovation Technology Workshop "Multimodal Cognitive Computing and Brain Computer Intelligence" hosted by CAAI and the Management Committee of Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City will be held online from August 20th to August 22th.

Winner of the National Ten Million Talent Project

 Profile

He is mainly engaged in scientific research on the theory and application of multimodal data collaborative computing. He has presided over 30 projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the "863" project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the key R & D Plan of Shanxi Province, obtained 26 invention patents and published more than 130 academic papers, among which more than 100 papers were published in world-class journals and international top conferences, including IEEE TPAMI, TNNLS, TIP, TCYB, TMM, ICML, NIPS, ICCV, CVPR, AAAI, IJCAI, KDD, etc. He was served as deputy editor in well-known SCI publications such as Pattern Recognition (zone 1), Neurocomputing (zone 1) and Pattern Recognition Letters (zone 3). His research results won the first prize of natural science of Shanxi Province in 2019 (the lead implementer), the second prize of National Natural Science in 2016 (the third implementer), two first prizes of Shanxi science and Technology Award (the third implementer in 2011 and 2015), and the second prize of natural science of the Ministry of Education in 2013.

 Profile:

He is mainly engaged in research on intelligent question answering, semantic analysis, large-scale pre-training model, code intelligence and machine reasoning. He once served as evaluation chairman of NLPCC, senior fields and fields chairman of ACL/EMNLP/NAACL, senior member and outstanding speaker of CCF, young scientist of CCF-NLPCC, and released open-source academic data sets such asXGLUE、CodeXGLUE、NLPCC-KBQA/DBQA. He has published more than 100 academic papers, held more than 10 patents, and his many research results have been used in various artificial intelligence products of Microsoft.

His main research interests are natural language processing, natural language generation, dialogue system and so on. He has won the first prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award, Hanwang Youth Innovation Award of Chinese Information Society, and the best paper or best paper nomination of international conferences such as IJCAI and ACL.

 Profile:

His main research interests are computer vision, multimedia technology and machine learning. He is deputy director of the youth working committee of the Chinese Association of Image Graphics, deputy director of the Special Committee on Granular Computing and Multiscale Analysis of the Chinese Association of Automatic Chemistry, and chairman of A-class international conferences of the Chinese Society of Computers, such as IEEE CVPR 2021 and ACM Multimedia 2018-2020. He is the Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2016), member of the major project management expert group of science and technology innovation 2030 "new generation artificial intelligence" of the Ministry of Science and Technology, leader of the working group of artificial intelligence science and technology innovation expert group of the Ministry of Education (August 2018-December 2020), executive editor of information and electronic engineering discipline of engineering, Chinese Academy of engineering. He is the author of Introduction to Artificial Intelligence: Models and Algorithms (Higher Education Press), and set the first batch of national first-class courses (online courses) : Artificial Intelligence: Models and Algorithms.

 Profile:

Leader of vision language research group of Australian robot vision research center (ACRV) and winner of Russell award of Australian Academy of Sciences. He obtained his doctorate from Bath University in 2015 and has committed to the research in the field of computer vision, especially in the field of computer vision natural language. He has published more than 70 papers in CVPR,ICCV,ECCV,  AAAI, IJCAI, TPAMI and other top international conferences and journals. Dr. Wu Qi also served as the reviewer of TPAMI,IJCV,TIP,CVPR,NIPS,ACL and other top academic journals and the area chair of ICCV 2021.

 Profile:

As the first implementer, she won the first prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, the second prize of Natural Science Award and the second prize of excellent scientific research achievement award of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education. Her main research fields include brain data mining, brain computer interface, brain like algorithm research and so on.

He received his doctorate in system analysis and integration from Huazhong University of science and technology in June 2003 and conducted postdoctoral research in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Science and Technology of China. He served as member of editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks;IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics;IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems;Cognitive Computation;Neural Networks;Applied Soft Computing; Journal of automation; Control engineering; Systems engineering and electronic technology; and Control theory and application. He has won the first prize of natural science of Hubei Province, the first prize of scientific and technological progress of Hubei Province, the first prize of Natural Science Award of outstanding achievements in scientific research of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, and the second prize of national science and technology progress award.
