According to related regulations issued by the general office of China Association for Science and Technology in 2021, Professor Long WANG of Peking University, Professor Luping SHI of Tsinghua University, Professor Weiming HU of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Zengliang LIU from the Chinese People's Liberation Army are the candidates recommended to the Chinese Academy of Sciences by vote.

Wang Long, male, born in February 1964, professor of Peking University, has won the second and third prizes of the National Natural Science Award. He has published more than 100 papers in academic journals at home and abroad. He is devoted to the control theory and application research for a long time, and has made a series of systematic innovations in parameter perturbation system control, multi-agent cooperation and control, complex networked system control and so on. Besides, he has published more than 100 papers in famous academic journals at home and abroad (such as Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Communications, IEEE Trans. on Automatic Control, and Automatica), and has been cited for more than 10,000 times. He has won the second and third prizes of the National Natural Science Award, Guan Zhaozhi Award (1994), the 10th Classic Paper Award of Science in China: Information Science (2017), the Most Influential Paper Award of the 30th Anniversary of the founding of Control Theory and Applications (2014), and the First Prize in Natural Science of the Ministry of Education. His research results have been widely cited and highly appraised by international famous scholars.

Shi Luping, male, born in December 1958, is currently the director of the Research Center for Brain-inspired Intelligent Computing, Tsinghua University, and the director of the National Engineering Research Center for Disc, Tsinghua University. He has been working on Brain-inspired Intelligent Computing for 15 years. Brain-inspired Intelligent Computing is recognized by the International Semiconductor Association as one of the two most promising new technologies in the post-moore era (the other is quantum computing) and is one of the core areas of Brain Science Research. Leping SHI joined Tsinghua University in 2013 and founded the Brain-inspired Computing Research Center consisting of seven departments. He proposed the idea of integrating computer science and neuroscience to drive the development of brain-inspired computing for general artificial intelligence, and made systematic and creative work on the basic theories, chips and systems of brain-like computing. He developed the world's first heterogeneous fusion brain-inspired chip and system, proposed the basic theory of brain-inspired computing completeness and hierarchical system architecture, and made outstanding contributions to China's research in the emerging field of brain-inspired computing to rank among the international advanced ranks. He has published 182 SCI indexed papers (including collaboration), cited 3731 times, and given 60 important academic conference topics and invited presentations at home and abroad. He has been granted 40 patents for brain-related inventions in China.

Weiming HU, male, born in November 1968, is a researcher of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, a leader in scientific and technological innovation of the Ten Thousand Talents Program, and a national candidate of the Ten Thousand Talents Program. He has worked on more than 40 scientific research projects, including the key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the national 863 key special projects, the national defense science and technology innovation special zone projects, the national 242 key projects of information security plan, and the key projects of frontier science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His major research fields include computer vision, video information processing and security, etc. He has put forward systematic innovation theories and methods in visual motion patterns and made great impact in the world. He has published more than 200 papers, which are widely cited (H index 69, I10 index 287). He has made key technological breakthroughs in the intelligent monitoring of network multimedia content security. The technologies, systems and equipment applications (including procurement) developed by him have been applied to more than 20 enterprises and institutions, and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.

Zengliang LIU, male, born in April 1958, is a third class professor of the PLA army, an expert of intelligent system engineering, a member of the first and second levels of the national millions of talents project, a senior expert of direct management of the central government, and the winner of the special subsidy of the State Council. He has presided over more than 50 key research projects of the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Defense Program. He created the factor neural network (FNN) intelligent engineering theory and proposed the atomic model and the relation model of knowledge factor representation. It lays a theoretical foundation for the study of uncertain parallel reasoning and dynamic decision-making, countermeasure research and discipline construction in depth learning. Zadeh, founder of the Moldzadeh Algorithm, described it as a pioneering area for developing Moldzadeh technology and neural network theory. He established the intelligent system engineering model method system, proposed the artificial intelligence fuzzy system model and the targeted key technology method such as the relationship deterministic model, the semantic indefinite model and the relationship indefinite model, which played a significant role in solving the basic problems of the intelligent engineering of major equipment. He has won 2 National Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress, 22 Military and Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 1 China Book Award.

If you have any objection to the above candidates, please report to the CAAI in writing. If someone wants to give a feedback, please sign the real name and provide with details;otherwise it shall not be accepted.
